Gregor Industries, a General Contractor, located in Huntington Station is currently hiring for a Box Truck Driver. This position requires travel to the various job sites, throughout the 5 Boroughs, as well as Long Island and New Jersey.

Box Truck Driver Responsibilities:

• Drive a Gregor Box Truck on a predetermined route and schedule. Interstate and Intrastate.
• Deliver or pick up items as instructed.
• Load and unload vehicle as necessary.
• Document deliveries or log other shipment information.
• Document and Log interstate travel.
• Follow DOT regulations.
• Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner, track hours on T-sheets.
• Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
• Maintain Compliance.
• Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
• Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify damages.
• Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas.
• Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
• Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
• Lift and carry merchandise as needed.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Collect and dispose garbage and debris from jobsites.
• Manage housekeeping activities when requested at storage facility.
• Maintain a clean driving record and abide by all transportation laws.
• Be mindful of parking work vehicles when on job site to avoid penalties.
• Provide general labor as needed.
• Experience in general construction tasks a plus.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in the US.
• Must be diligent and savvy and able to work independently.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Must possess a valid drivers license.
• MUST HAVE/OWN RELIABLE VEHICLE.

Salary:

$20 - $28 per hour.
